Don't be a hollow

There such an obsession nowadays with being on the same boat as everyone else. It's so very rare to see anyone step-up as an individual who is proud to be different. I get that people don't want to be marginalized or talked about, not everyone can take the heat of being in solitude if they dare to change. However, is life about being a sheep? What makes me even more mad is these inglorious bastards called politicians telling us to be unique through their words of patriotism to set apart their people from anyone else yet they hate people who break social order. They fear freedom of personality, because even though they till you don't be a follower this whole society is built on being a follower. The social and political hierarchy is a hidden system of mindless obeying. The Prime minister obeys stronger politicians, the MP's obey the Prime Minster, premier obey the MP's, the mayor obeys the premier and the police obey the mayor. Than comes us the working class, the typical citizens following laws set by people who have decided what is right and wrong and we listen to bosses just because they have the biggest office. The whole point of the last few sentences isn't to incite riots and hate towards authority, but to keep in mind that we are constantly being told to follow. So no wonder girls in high schools feel insecure about rejecting that jerk just because all her friends are dating jerks. That man who just witnessed his wife die in front of him can't avenge her death because the law told him that it's wrong and considered murder. We listen to doctors just because they wear white coats and studied, we are mindless people. Throughout our day we obey without thinking. Be different, if your gonna obey people and laws and authorities all your life than where is living in all of that? Or maybe your just one of those people who just wants to exist, get through high school, finish university, work, get a family, raise a daughter and die. Forget the exploring and wonder, forget showing off those hidden talents and who cares about leaving your name behind. Unfortunately, that's the biography of many in today's society I like to call these people hollows. Because they are like masked characters who are brainless, who obey and go through life doing the same stuff everyday. If you wanna be that person forget about anything I said, apparently being the same is enough for you, but it takes the ability to be different to be something great. Not saying being great is being known worldwide, being great is when you can change a persons life and put your few years of life to use by serving others (not as working for a boss). My challenge for everyone out there is be different for 2 weeks, be yourself, that person you want to be not the person you idolize or follow. If you get marginalized than you just gained something 'cause now you know that the people you're calling friends are not really anything of the sort. Try it if it isn't for you go out through your life and I hope your best looking sheep at the least.

Good quotes:

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
"Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary."

Optical illusion

The funniest thing about this world is the idea of status. We spend our entire lives working towards a form of power, whether it's getting the biggest house on the block, being payed the most, entering the most prestigious university or gaining the most knowledge etc. Why is it that we feel that we need a great status implanted into our hopes and dreams in order to get the most out of life? I'm not saying don't dream, but aiming for the moon doesn't mean a six figure paycheck. Aiming for the moon means take a shot at living life in the most unique way, it means stop worrying about money, power, and what people think of you and just look around you. Look Dad and mom at your family, and teen look at the beauty of your freedom from responsibility, the rich and powerful look at your most prized possession. If you looked at an item, than think about all the time you just wasted worrying over a thing that has no great value. Try this, take the item that has held you back and  throw it away, don't look back and move on with life, in a few days your gonna realize that it gave you no satisfaction. Adults go out and enjoy yourself with a soul mate tell them you love them, if you don't have one find one, but as you search I don't want you to wonder about the great life your gonna have when you find her or him just search and when you find, just love. For all the teens out there, stop worrying about looks, forget what the popular kids think of you, and for everyone who thinks there popular look at why are you so insecure? I know you may say that this guy doesn't know what he's talking about, changing is not easy, but you have a few years left before you realize the terrible reality of the world. Where your heading no matter how big you are, someone else is always bigger. Being "cool" for 4 years is not worth losing 4 great years of valuable carefree years (school and girls is nothing compared to worrying if your gonna eat the next day or when you look into your child's eyes and you cant afford to give him that toy they wanted). You need money, you need a house, and you need to build a life for yourself, but having one million dollars and graduating from Harvard is not gonna give you more happiness than making $50,000 and graduating from a local university. I hope you don't read this and change your life for a day or two than go back to your old self, give yourself four months and try living life the way I described. If it doesn't work out don't try it again. The bottom line is happiness can be found through a few things through love and wonder. Here is a challenge for all the hot shots, and the greats check how strong your will is by losing the need for status for at least four months.
Good quotes:
"Childhood is measured out by sounds and smells and sights, before the dark hour of reason grows"
"He who controls others may be powerful, but he who has mastered himself is mightier still"
